6/14/10 - New sketch released - a tribute to Abby Sunderland's brave attempt to be the youngest woman to circumnavigate the globe - Abby vs. The Sea. Become a fan! 3/17/10 - To celebrate the release of Ultraman (Ultra Galaxy Legends) on Blu-Ray (April 23, 2010) we're streaming selections from Mike's epic score for a limited time on our private streaming server! Just click on this link, and listen with your favorite stream player, such as iTunes! 3/14/10 - Check out Mike's new fan page on Facebook! There you can find out the latest news, see photos, and hear previously unreleased sketch tracks, which he writes between projects to stay sharp! 1/11/10 - Congratulations to Mike for having the #1-selling movie soundtrack in Japan! His score for Ultra Galaxy Legends is now available from Sony/BMG on Amazon Japan! 10/20/09 - Mike has just completed the score for Mega Monster Battle: Ultra Galaxy Legends from Warner Bros./Tsuburaya in Japan! The highly anticipated film based on the wildly popular Ultraman series premieres in December - 12/12/09! 01/23/09 - It's going to be a busy year! We can't tell you what's coming just yet - but stay tuned for some exciting updates in the weeks to come! 09/29/08 - Mike wins a Telly Award for his score accompanying the Sony Pictures promotional campaign, "Bring Home the Action!" Congratulations, Mike!writ 06/26/08 - Mike's version of the Star Trek Original Theme! After his recent visit to ILM - where he saw Star Trek 11 being worked on - he decided to try a modern version of the original theme as a personal project. In rare form, he shares his sketch! 06/24/08 - The R2-D2 page is in serious need of an update - the renderings there are of a previous version, and the new ones are coming soon. But here on the main page is a side-by-side preview of Mike's CG version next to an original at ILM. 06/20/08 - Happy Birthday, Mike! Mike celebrated by visiting with friends at ILM and Pixar, before heading over to Skywalker Ranch. It's a rough life, he says. Well here's to many more years of suffering, then! 05/15/08 - After the bestselling success of her first book, celebrity mathematician Danica McKellar will be releasing her second book, Kiss My Math in August. Mike again came up with the title, and did the cover art, seen here! 05/01/08 - Mike's score for the Sci-Fi feature Heatstroke can be heard when it airs on May 31st at 9pm PST! 08/02/07 - Actress and math celebrity Danica McKellar (The Wonder Years, The West Wing) has just released her first book, Math Doesn't Suck. As a long-time friend and collaborator, Mike not only designed and executed the book cover - he also came up with the title! 07/21/07 - Mike has been tapped to compose the score to the upcoming scif-fi feature Heatstroke, from producer David Kemper (Farscape), directed by Andrew Prowse. The film will be appearing on the Sci-Fi Channel; airdate details as we get them. 07/11/07 - The first Inspector Mom movie, for which Mike composed the music, will be available on DVD September 1st. Be sure to check out Mike's isolated score commentary about his music for the film as one of the special features on the DVD! 06/29/07 - Mike will be appearing at the annual VisMasters Conference in San Diego, August 9-10, where he will be a featured guest speaker. Mike has served on the beta testing and devlopment team for next-generation computer-generated image creation software Maxwell Render for nearly two years, and will be presenting on behalf of the developing company, NextLimit Technologies. 06/11/07 - Mike has been hired to create a special promotional piece for Sony Pictures, to appear on all their future DVD releases. The piece highlights the most popular action films from the studio, and features a 4-minute orchestral piece which he composed specifically for the project. 04/14/07 - Mike has been commissioned to produce an exclusive, limited edition print of his CG R2-D2 - created for The Star Wars Complete Visual Dictionary - to be auctioned for charity at the Star Wars Celebration IV convention in Los Angeles, celebrating 30 years of Star Wars. The print will be signed by Mike, ILM modelmaker and "droid wrangler" Don Bies, fellow CG R2-D2 artist Billy Brooks, and R2-D2 himself, Kenny Baker. 02/24/07 - A new iTunes-like web-based music service called Slacker (www.slacker.com) has tapped Mike to do product visualizations of their new flash player, which has been called the "iPod killer" in early reviews. We'll see! Images of Mike's CG rendering of the player can be seen on the Slacker website. 02/22/07 - Mike has completed the score for the second Inspector Mom movie, "Kidnapped in 10 Easy Steps" 10/22/06 - The airdate for the first episode of Inspector Mom on the Lifetime Movie Network, featuring Mike's original score, has been set for Saturday, November 18th, at 8 p.m. E.S.T.. 08/01/06 - Mike has just begun writing the music for a new series on Lifetime called, "Inspector Mom" starring Danica McKellar. The first TV movie should be airing in late Sept. or early Oct. We'll post the airdate as soon as we have it... 05/01/06 - Mike has recently completed work on a series of CG R2-D2 visualizations for the upcoming Star Wars Complete Visual Dictionary from DK Publishing. He was fortunate to spend a couple of days at Skywalker Ranch playing around in the archives with R2 and Don Bies, who was doing all the design work. 3/01/06 - An online interview with www.lightsabre.co.uk about Mike's various projects in the works.
